This Privacy Policy explains what the Amazon ASIN Keyword Rank & Index Checker browser extension ("the Extension") does with your data, which browser permissions it requests, and why each one is needed. The Extension is built to do its work inside your own browser: your ASIN and keyword lists are processed locally and are never uploaded to us.
-
1. Permissions We Request and Why:
Chrome asks you to approve a set of permissions when you install the Extension. We request only what the features actually need:
- storage — Saves your license key, your subscription status, your remaining free-check credits and the ASIN/keyword list you are currently working on in your browser's local storage. This keeps your work and your plan status available between sessions. This data stays on your device.
- cookies — Reads and writes cookies on our own domain (amz-asin.extfy.com) only. These cookies hold your encoded license key and your usage counter so that your paid plan is recognised and your free-check limit is applied consistently. The Extension does not read, collect or transmit cookies belonging to Amazon or to any other website.
- Host access to Amazon sites (amazon.com, .ca, .com.mx, .de, .es, .fr, .it, .co.uk, .in, .co.jp, .com.au, .com.tr, .com.br, .nl) — Lets the Extension add its interface to Amazon pages and request Amazon search result pages from your browser so it can determine whether your ASIN is indexed and at what rank it appears for a keyword. These requests are ordinary Amazon page requests made from your own browser and session, exactly as if you had run the search yourself. The results are parsed on your device.
- Host access to amz-asin.extfy.com — Used to validate or cancel your licence and to deliver feedback you choose to send us.
-
2. Information We Collect:
Licence information. When you activate, validate or cancel a paid plan, your licence key is sent to our server at amz-asin.extfy.com so we can confirm your subscription is active.
Feedback you submit. If you voluntarily use the in-extension feedback form, we receive the email address and message you type, together with basic browser and operating system information, so we can reproduce the issue and reply to you. Nothing is sent unless you submit the form.
Usage counter. A count of the checks you have performed is stored locally (and in a cookie on our domain) purely to enforce free-plan limits. It is a number; it does not record which products or keywords you looked up.
-
3. Information We Do Not Collect:
The Extension does not collect or transmit your browsing history, your Amazon account credentials, your Amazon cookies or session data, or your Seller Central data. The ASINs, keywords and uploaded files you check, and the reports you export to CSV or Excel, remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
-
4. How the Extension Works:
All rank and index checking happens in your browser. The Extension requests Amazon search pages from your browser, reads the results, matches them against the ASINs you entered, and builds the report locally. Communication with our own server is limited to licence validation and any feedback you choose to send. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy.
-
5. Third-Party Payment Processing:
Payments for premium features are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details of the data they collect during checkout.
-
6. Data Retention and Removal:
Data held in local storage remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension; uninstalling removes it. Cookies set on amz-asin.extfy.com can be cleared from your browser settings at any time, and the Extension itself clears them when a licence is cancelled. Feedback messages are retained only for as long as needed to answer your query. You may ask us to delete your feedback or licence records by emailing [email protected].
-
7. Data Security:
All communication between the Extension and our server, and with Lemon Squeezy, takes place over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because the Extension does not handle payment information directly, your payment data is protected by Lemon Squeezy's secure payment infrastructure and subject to their security measures.
-
8. User Consent:
By installing and using the Extension, you consent to the permissions described above and acknowledge that payment processing is carried out by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension.
-
9. Changes to This Policy:
We believe in transparency. If the Extension's permissions or data practices change, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
-
10. Contact Information:
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, the permissions the Extension requests, or the payment process through Lemon Squeezy, please get in touch with us at [email protected]
